Get 'Hyp' with Hyprland
Let's get on the "hyp" wagon with Hyprland. Learn all the essentials you need to know to use this trending window compositor and get an awesome looking Linux desktop.

Hyprland is all hyped in the Linux land these days. If you look at one of those Linux ricing screenshots, you'll understand why.

One of the main reasons that people love to use Linux over Windows is the availability of customizable desktops and window managers. For all types of users, there is one desktop available to suit all their needs.
Hyprland is a dynamic tiling window compositor that is both highly customizable and eye candy. But this customization comes at the cost of configuring everything by hand, even something as simple as a wallpaper change.
If you are comfortable with tons of configuration changes and looking for a high degree of customization and control over the desktop experience, let's go forward.
In this course, you'll learn all the essentials of setting up a Linux desktop with Hyprland.
As you'll see later, Hyprland requires lots of manual configuration and hence a good working knowledge of Linux commands is recommended.
What will you learn here?
This is a miniseries and you'll learn:
- To install Hyprland on Linux
- Configure Hyprland to make it usable as a desktop
- Customize the top bar and panel with Waybar
- Beautify Waybar further by grouping items in it
- Master your wallpapers with Hyprapaper
- Show-off your Hyprland rig by learning to take screenshots (yes, there is a learning curve for that as well)
We'll be adding more chapters in the Hyprland series, and I'll update this course here at regular intervals.
